In the 21st century every website, a mobile phone, a programme or a toy relies on code in order to work.
Steve Jobs once said” Everybody in this country should learn how to programme a computer because it teaches you how to think”.
The project CODED LEGENDS is the answer to the needs of European schools transforming into SCHOOLS 3.0 where technology is integrated into learning and teachers move away from-traditional lectures to digital projects.Nowadays, understanding of programming and coding is necessary to find jobs in computer sciences, medicine, banking and journalism. Schools 3.0 must start teaching the computer language starting from the very early stage of education.Young students still love fairytales and magic that is why the project will combine working on European legends and modern technologies to show students that:
“The programmers of tomorrow are the wizards of the future , you ‘re going look like you have magic powers compared to everybody else” - Gabe Newell .What's more, young people are also in danger of radicalization from various terrorist organizations who recruit students. The project aims at introducing new solutions, using project meetings and virtual collaboration to remind and teach teachers and students the set of values hidden in old legends and myths that built Old Europe and have nothing to do with hatred and lack of tolerance..
