Belgium : Robotic with "The Pass"
This week, the science adventure park "Le pass" came for a whole day to initiate children from 3rd to 6th grade to robotics with two types of robots. What fun! They loved!
We used the free survey software PLICKERS.
It allows you to ask your students a multiple-choice question (4 possible answers), to collect their answers quickly via a poster that you scan using your smartphone or tablet. The result can be projected immediately in graphical form, anonymously or not. To use it you need to create an account and have an internet connection.
We also used the mini robot OZOBOT. The little line-follower robot is equipped with light sensors that allow it to detect 4 colors.
We used the THYMIO robot, developed in Switzerland. It is based on 3 pillars: a large number of sensors and actuators, an educational interactivity based on light and touch, an easy graphical and textual programming. The activities possible with this robot are : Drawing its name with a marker, interpreting a behaviour and knowing which program corresponds, decorating the thymio and illustrating a story.
